The WSPOS Connectivity Bureau was formed with the goal of having social media aware ophthalmologists communicate important news and educational information on Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus through social media to a global audience.
Dr. Kuheli Bhattacharya has been appointed as the Lead of the WSPOS Connectivity Bureau.
Dr. Kuheli Bhattacharya is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus Specialist at the Manipal Hospital – Goa in Dona Paula, North Goa. Dr. Kuheli Bhattacharya completed her M.B.B.S from Seth Gowardhandas Sunderdas Medical College, and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM), Mumbai, India & went on to do her Master in Surgery in Ophthalmology from the Goa Medical College and Goa University. She passed (with merit) the basic science examination in ophthalmology in addition to the optics and refraction examination in ophthalmology offered by the International Council of Ophthalmology. She then went on to pursue 2 Separate Fellowship trainings at PBMA’s HV Desai Eye Hospital at Pune (Fellowship in Phacoemulsification Surgery & a Fellowship in Medical Retina), after which she underwent a Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismology at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, followed by an International fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology, where she trained under Dr. Brian Campolattaro of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, New York. Dr. Kuheli is a very active blogger & has multiple Social media handles in addition to being a Published author & a Fortnightly columnist on eye diseases.

WSPOS is on the lookout for young social media aware ophthalmologists to be a part of our exclusive, 1st-of-its-kind, WSPOS Connectivity Bureau. Under the guidance of Dr. Kuheli Bhattacharya, who has been appointed to lead the Connectivity Bureau, the Bureau members will be expected to source important news & educational information for WSPOS Social Media, along with driving discussions and case studies online.
Potential Duties / Projects of the WSPOS Connectivity Bureau :
1) Highlighting the most topical articles for posting via the WSPOS platforms.
2) Congress Reporting.
3) Conducting Key Opinion Leader Interviews.
4) Highlight the best educational resources for Paediatric Ophthalmologists.
5) Post the Newsletter Global Case Report Quiz on the WSPOS Facebook page. Initiate & drive a discussion WRT the same.
